Installation Process
The following floor preparation steps
First of all, we need to be sure the concrete is structurally sound, and after that we need to grind a concrete floor (remove the sealer part from the concrete slab) before applying a base coat (primer) which penetrates inside the concrete. This will make the epoxy base coat adhere properly and last for years to come.
The next step is to treat all cracks and chips with crack weld concrete repair material.
Applying base coat and flakes
The next step is to apply direct-to-concrete pigmented epoxy coating and flakes. The flakes is designed specifically to create a beautiful and durable floor for residential, commercial and industrial properties. And most important the flakes are slip resistance. We can use flakes size from 1/8" to 1" and a variety of colors.
Applying top-polyaspartic coat
Another step is to apply the top coat with low VOC, excellent chemical resistance, hardness, abrasion resistance, UV stability and prevents things like hot tire pick-up. The polyaspartic uses solvents that are shown to not harm the ozone layer.
